Description

Siliciclastic sedimentary rocks are sediments consisting of clastic, silicic components (mostly quartz, feldspars and heavy minerals). Most commonly they occur as quartz-sandstone, a sandstone consisting of more than 95% quartz grains and below 5% matrix.
